Hi All

Until recently, all our ERP KB articles were “locked inside” CustomerSource and PartnerSource, i.e., they were not accessible from the open web. A couple of months ago, we took the decision to open up the ERP KB articles to the public
domain and make them indexable by search engines. We took this decision for the following reasons:

• A number of these KB article numbers are referenced at various places on the web, and it is not a good experience for partners to search for them and end up on unreliable websites. Having customers/partners come to a Microsoft support page
  whenever they search for a KB article would serve to increase affinity to Microsoft support.
• This makes us consistent with the rest of Microsoft
• We did assess that making the KBs public wouldn’t diminish the value prop of our service plan

This process has been completed recently, and we now have over 30,000 Dynamics ERP KB articles public and accessible on the http://support.microsoft.com. Also, all ERP KB articles going forward will be created with a public
visibility setting by default. The search rankings of these KB articles will of course move up over time as the traffic on these pages and the number of inbound links grow.
